When I was a college student, one of my project classes required us to create a web site for a client. I was assigned to work with Professor Chris Crowe. Professor Crowe wanted a web site to showcase his novels. He wanted a clean, minimalist design with clear, easy navigation.

I designed the pages using Adobe Photoshop 6 and built the site using Dreamweaver MX. Professor Crowe provided the text and image content from an earlier version of the site.

Professor Crowe wanted a template-driven site that he could use to easily update content as needed. I used the template functions in Dreamweaver to create editable regions in the documents. Individual pages can be edited within the editable regions, and the overall look and feel and layout can be modified at the template level.

I also used a CSS style sheet to ensure consistency of text styles across the site.

Professor Crowe's website is still live and can be seen at http://www.chriscrowe.com (new window).
