I've been using this domain for my writing portfolio for several years, and it has gone through several iterations.

In an early version of my portfolio, site visitors were greeted with a Flash animation of random lines and shapes that morphed into the screen you see above. I created this site using Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash.

I liked the simplicity of this design, but ultimately decided that from a content-management perspective, this was time-consuming to maintain, so I decided to change to a back-end that used some type of content-management approach.
