Context Sensitive Help: SIB

Project description and scope

Part of my volunteer work with Mission.net includes writing context-sensitive help topics to help site users and site administrators learn how to use the various functions provided in the interface.

As new functionality is added to the SIB interface, I document the features and add appropriate topics to the online help system.

Output types and deliverables

This help is in-application context-sensitive help. When users click help icons in the application, a small window appears with the help content.

Tools used

This project uses tools built-into the web platform used for this project. I wrote the HTML-based content in a text editor, then copied it into the appropriate place in the web application.

Skills showcased

This project shows my ability to write simple, concise context-sensitive help for a web application.

Writing sample information

Since this project is context-sensitive help, it is only available in the application itself. The screen shot above shows one complete topic I wrote for the application. If you would like to view other topics, please contact me for more information.
